How To Get A Better Job In 30 Days (A NEW 5 Step Approach)
Hello there, in this post, I’m going to be talking about how to get a better job in 30 days and how it’s possible for you.
So stay tuned.

If you do love reading, let’s get back to it…
Now, you might think this is nuts.
You might be like, no way, this is not going to happen.
So, I’ve seen it happen, I know it can happen.
I’m going to explain to you today why and how.
The first reason that someone would be able to get a better job in 30 days is because it’s really 80% the mindset and 20% the strategy.
You might know all the things you need to do, but you don’t really believe yet that it’s possible or that you could get yourself to do all the necessary things, so it’s a mindset thing.
It’s going to be 80% mindset at least, and 20% strategy that’s going to get you a new better job in 30 days.
Secondly, you probably think that you’re not in control of whether you can make it happen or not.
And I totally get it.
Like, you probably think, well I can’t make someone hire me.
Like, I can do what I can do but I can’t make it happen, I don’t have control over it, right?
I totally get that.
I’m going to explain to you an example and then kind of show you how you do have control over it.
Example: Let’s say you want to lose 20 pounds.
There are steps you need to take to lose 20 pounds.
That might be to eat less, eat these certain things, workout this certain about, calories in, calories out.
Like there’s a science, very proven, very obvious that you could lose 20 pounds if you did these things, right?
Technically if that’s the standpoint, it should be pretty easy for everybody to lose 20 pounds, so why don’t we?
The problem is the mindset of getting yourself to do the steps in the first place.
I can’t control who decides to hire me or not.
There are also steps that you can take in order to create interviews.
There are also steps that you can take in order to create second interviews, right?
And maybe you’ve done some of those steps and you have had some success, right.
We all know the basic steps are going to put together a resume , send it out, get it into the right hands of the right people, have the right conversations.
We do know these steps?
And we think that if we do those steps then we’ll get the job, but then if we don’t then we’re like, oh those steps didn’t work.
That’s because your mindset wasn’t aligned with what you were doing.
Your mindset wasn’t working.
Something in your mindset wasn’t working.
And what most people do at that point is they say, okay well, it doesn’t work.
It’s like: “I’m just never going to do it, I don’t have the experience, somebody told me I don’t have the experience, somebody said I should go get the certification first.”
“I have to do all this work, it’s just not going to work.”
And then we micro-quit.
Micro-quitting meaning you take a break, stop trying for a while, maybe quit forever.
But really, it is up to our mindset to create the belief that it is possible in 30 days.
And when we do that, we become in control of our results.
If for example:
I’m just going to have to wait for people to find me.
And I just sat in my room and I didn’t do anything, I would just be sitting there.
Are you coming?
You know, I’d have a very different attitude than if my mindset was, I am in total control of people coming to find me, I need to put something out there that people want.
The reason that I have clients coming to me is because of my action, the direct action that I took to put something out there that somebody wanted to respond to, and someone believed could help them.
It’s the same with your resume and how you show up to an interview.
You have control of your resume, how many people you put it in front of, how many people you contact, how many people see it, and how you show up when you have those conversations with people.
You have control over that.
When you believe you don’t have control over your job search, you’re focusing on the wrong thing.
You’re focusing on the things that you don’t have control over.
But you have control over so much.
With the example of my business, if I were to take the attitude of: “Well, I’m just going to wait for people to show up, let’s see what happens.”
Then I wouldn’t have a successful business.
I would just be waiting.
A lot of people in their careers are doing that too.
They’re kind of passively going through the motions, kind of being like: “Ah well, I can’t really control it, there’s nothing really I can do.”
And when you’re coming from that place, you don’t feel very empowered to take more action in a very intentional specific way.
Thinking like that doesn’t really make you feel energized OR want to go do something.
It might make you feel passive.
Like, yeah, if someone wants to hire me, they well, It’ll work out if it works out Versus I’m in control of whether I make this happen.
How could I tailor my resume in a way that’s irresistible to the person that wants to hire me and needs my skills?
How could I show what I can do to the person really needs my skills?
You’re not asking yourself those questions and you’re not in that resourceful state because you believe it’s not within your control anyway.
But it is within your control.
It is completely within your control.
And that’s what I work with you on.
That’s what I teach my clients, you can create that result that you want to create, but you have to believe that it is in your control first.
And a lot of people think that the jobs are just completely out of their control.
They think that it’s the circumstance, it’s the economy, it’s whether or not somebody will hire them and they put all their eggs in one basket and wait for this one employer to get back to them.
But there are so many other things that you’re missing.
Many other things that you could be doing, because you’re not thinking in that way.
You’re not thinking: “I am in control of making this happen and I can make this happen no matter what.”
Because you can.
That’s what I want you to see, is you are in control.
If you wanted to get a better job in 30 days, totally possible, I’ve seen it happen.
And I am absolutely positive that you could do it once you commit.
You need to understand your own value.
You need to have belief in yourself and belief that you’re capable of doing this role in an extraordinary manner.
And you need to have a belief that there’s an organization out there who wants to hire you right now, they just don’t know that you exist yet, because you haven’t gone to find them.
They don’t know you are there, they don’t know what you can do.
It’s your job to go and find them.
You need to know your own value in order to do that.
So if you’re sitting there thinking: “Hmm, I’m not really sure if I can do it.”
I’m not really sure if my skills are good enough.
OR, I’m not really sure if I’m capable.
I don’t know.
That’s never going to get you into the action that you need to be in to go find the company that needs you right now.
You are only a few thoughts away from getting your dream job.
If instead, your thoughts were: “I know the company’s out there, I know I can do this job, I know I’m meant for it.”
I have a client who took the test twice to get her salesforce certification.
She failed it the first time and she was like: “That’s not going to stop me, I’m going to do it again. I’m going to get it done until I get it.”
She was meant to be a salesforce administrator and work in salesforce and add value to an organization in that way.
When you feel that, you’re like: “I was meant to do this, I know I can, you’re going to go after it in a different way. Right?”
And that’s an optional choice to think like that Versus thinking like “Yeah, I don’t know if I can. I’m not really sure. Nobody’s really given me the chance before, so I don’t really think I can.”
Would you want to hire a coach who’s thinking like that? Uncertain?
If I was just like: “Yeah, I don’t really know if I can help you, I’ll try.”
It doesn’t work, right?
You need to be certain in yourself.
You need to be like, I know I can do this.
And if I don’t know something, I will figure it out. I will figure out how to help you.
You need to have that certainty in yourself for other people to feel it within you.
You generate certainty, okay?
And you do that with the sentences in your brain that you choose.
The certainty comes from within you, you have it in there.
If you have the desire, it’s there.
So choose it.
And then you need to be in alignment.
Being in alignment with the role, okay?
You see a job description, maybe it gets you excited, it generates an emotion within you.
You’re like, oh this sounds really cool, I think I can really do this.
You want to align yourself with that role and look for all the ways that you are perfect for it.
And even if the certainty isn’t: “I know all the answers.”
Maybe you don’t know all the answers yet, you don’t have to.
Your certainty has to come from somewhere.
It could come from: “I’m committed to figuring it out. I’m resourceful, I’ve figured things out before that I didn’t know the answer to.”
I have people I can talk to, I will do whatever it takes to figure it out, I know I can do that.
And if you generate the certainty from wherever you can, then you can show up so much more powerfully and be able to radiate that certainty to someone else.
‘Cause if you show up in hesitancy and you’re not sure of yourself and you’re doubting yourself, you’re doubting yourself and basically shutting yourself down ahead of time, before they even have the opportunity to make their own decision about you.
Because when you think that way about yourself when you’re in doubt, then the likelihood is you’re going to show up in doubt and they’re going to be in doubt too.
I like to use this example.
Say somebody comes and I need them to fix my sink, it’s broken.
And they come, they’re a plumber, they have a certification in plumbing and they’ve learned what they need to learn.
They are totally capable of fixing the sink.
But they come and they’re like: “I don’t really know if I can do it. I’ve never really been paid to fix a sink before.”
OR I haven’t fixed a sink in five years, I’m not really sure I can.
OR I don’t really know what kind of sink you have, I’m not really sure if I can do it.
I’m going to start to wonder if they can.
I’m going to be like, well, I called you here to fix the sink.
They called you there for the interview ’cause they saw on paper that you have the skills, and now you’re showing up and you’re like, I don’t really know if I can really do it Versus the difference of somebody who shows up and they’re like, okay where is it?
Let me take a look, let me get started.
Then I’m not even going to doubt it, I’m going to be like, okay great, here it is, get to work.
Let me know.
I just care that they fix my sink.
I don’t care if they haven’t done it in five years, or if they’ve taken a break for two months.
OR if they’ve had a health issue, OR had a baby.
OR have fixed sinks for free before but haven’t been paid.
I don’t care about any of that, I just care that they can fix my sink.
Can you do the job?
And are you letting anything get in the way that really shouldn’t?
That’s what I want you to recognize.
The certainty comes from within you and you get to choose it.
You get to choose whether or not you show up certain or whether you show up hesitant.
Certainty comes from within you.
Certainty is what they need to hire you.
And lastly, you want to show up in a high intention but low attachment mindset for the interview.
You want to show up as if you already had the role.
What would you do?
What would you ask?
Refer to my post on the four powerful questions to ask in an interview.
I show you how to ask questions so that you can show up in certainty and expert energy.
The high intention is going to be very important in the interview
You want to show up enthusiastic and you want to be very curious about what it is they need.
And with the full intention to be the person to help and serve them and deliver what it is they need and give them that certainty.
That’s who you want to be.
And then, you want to have a low attachment.
So meaning, you know what?
This is the attitude you want to have.
I know I can do this, I know I can help you, let’s figure out how.
If you don’t want me to help you, that’s fine.
I will help someone else.
I am certain in my skills and abilities.
And it’s up to you.
If you want me to help you, I’m happy to.
If not, that’s also fine.
Because I know that I can do this job.
That’s how you want to show up.
And if you are having issues with your own confidence and you’re not feeling like this is something you can do, then that’s something I can help you with.
The main issue is probably your own self-doubt, right?
If you haven’t gotten the job you want, a better job in 30 days, you’ve been performing well in your current job and you just haven’t been able to get people to give you the opportunities, it’s because you’re not certain of yourself and you’re not certain of your own value.
And I can prove to you that you do have what it takes.
If you need help with that, I can help you with that too.
